About Caitlin

Helping adults and students build strategies that work with their ADHD, not against it.

Caitlin Hollywood - ADHD Mentor and Coach

Hi, I’m Caitlin

Before I even started my social work degree, I was already drawn to supporting people through difficult situations. I worked in healthcare support, caring for tracheostomy patients and supporting families through an epilepsy charity. That hands-on experience cemented what I already knew: I wanted to make this my career.

I qualified with a 2:1 BA (Hons) in Social Work from the University of East Anglia in 2018. Since then, I’ve spent over 7 years as an Advanced Social Work Practitioner across councils in Norfolk, Cambridgeshire, Leicestershire, and Nottinghamshire, working across five specialist settings:

Neurological RehabilitationPhysical DisabilitiesLearning Disability & AutismAgeing WellCommunity Teams

As an Advanced Practitioner, I also mentored and supervised colleagues, guiding other professionals through complex casework involving safeguarding, mental capacity assessments, and person-centred interventions. Empowerment, dignity, and independence aren’t just values I believe in, they’re the foundation of everything I do.

Throughout all of this, I kept seeing the same gap: adults diagnosed with (or suspecting) ADHD who had no practical, day-to-day support. The NHS waiting lists are years long, and even after diagnosis there’s often nothing in place to help people actually manage their lives. That’s why I started ADHD Mentor.

Based in Mickleover, Derby, I offer all sessions online via Google Meet, so whether you’re in the East Midlands or anywhere in the UK, I can work with you.
