Accessibility Statement

Last updated: 22 February 2025

1. My Commitment

I’m committed to making my website accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities and neurodivergent individuals. I aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA.

2. What I Do

I’ve taken the following steps to ensure accessibility on https://adhdmentor-chollywood.com:

  • Semantic HTML: Proper heading structures, landmarks, and ARIA labels to support screen readers.
  • Keyboard navigation: All interactive elements are accessible via keyboard.
  • Colour contrast: Text and backgrounds meet WCAG AA contrast requirements.
  • Reduced motion: Animations respect the prefers-reduced-motion setting for users who are sensitive to motion.
  • Responsive design: The website adapts to different screen sizes and zoom levels.
  • Clear language: I use plain, clear language throughout the site.
  • Focus indicators: Visible focus states are provided for all interactive elements.

3. Neurodiversity Considerations

As a service designed for individuals with ADHD, I pay particular attention to:

  • Clear, scannable page layouts with consistent navigation.
  • Short paragraphs and bullet points for easier reading.
  • A calm, uncluttered visual design that avoids sensory overload.
  • Clear calls to action so you always know what to do next.

4. Known Limitations

I’m continually working to improve accessibility. Known limitations include:

  • Third-party content (e.g., Calendly booking widget) may not fully meet my accessibility standards.
  • Some older blog posts may not have been fully optimised for screen readers.

5. Feedback

If you experience any accessibility issues or have suggestions for improvement, please get in touch at caitlin.hollywoodlai@gmail.com. I welcome your feedback and will do my best to address any issues promptly.

6. Enforcement

If you are not satisfied with my response, you can contact the Equality Advisory Support Service (EASS).
