ADHD Support for People in Birmingham

Getting ADHD support in Birmingham is not always straightforward. Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust (BSMHFT) manages adult ADHD referrals across the region, but NHS waiting lists can stretch to years, leaving many people without the support they need right now.

Whether you are a student at the University of Birmingham, Aston University, or Birmingham City University, or a working professional in the West Midlands, my mentoring bridges the gap. You may also be able to speed up your assessment through the Right to Choose pathway, and I can help you navigate that process too.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions from people in Birmingham looking for ADHD support.

Do you offer in-person ADHD coaching in Birmingham?

All sessions are currently delivered online via Google Meet. This means you get the same high-quality, personalised support from the comfort of your home, with no commuting across Birmingham or battling traffic on the A38. Many clients find online sessions actually work better for their ADHD, as they can be in their own comfortable environment.

How much does ADHD coaching cost in Birmingham?

Single sessions are £125 for 60 minutes. I also offer bundles: 3 sessions for £320 (save 15%) or 5 sessions for £470 (save 25%). This is competitive with other ADHD coaches in the Birmingham and West Midlands area, and you can start with a free 15-minute discovery call to see if it is right for you.

How long are NHS ADHD waiting lists in Birmingham?

Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust (BSMHFT) handles adult ADHD referrals in the area, and waiting times can stretch to several years. You do have the right to request a Right to Choose referral to a private provider like Psychiatry-UK, which can significantly reduce your wait. My mentoring can support you while you wait for assessment or diagnosis.

Can university students in Birmingham access ADHD mentoring?

Yes, I work with students at the University of Birmingham, Aston University, Birmingham City University, and other local institutions. If you receive Disabled Students' Allowance (DSA), your ADHD mentoring sessions may be funded through your support package. Contact your university disability service to find out more.

Do I need an ADHD diagnosis to work with you?

No. You do not need a formal diagnosis. Many of my clients in Birmingham and the West Midlands are on NHS waiting lists, going through private assessment, or simply recognise ADHD traits in themselves. My mentoring is open to anyone experiencing executive function challenges.
