Delivery

1. What you receive
The books are sold in two formats. The digital PDF arrives by email as a download link. The printed book is posted to you, and the PDF is included with it at no extra cost.
2. Digital downloads
Your download link is emailed to the address you give at checkout, normally within a few minutes of payment. It works for 30 days, which is time to save the file somewhere you will find it again. If a link has expired, or the email never arrived, send me your order reference at caitlin.hollywoodlai@gmail.com and I will send a fresh one. There is no charge for that and no limit on how often you can ask.
Check your spam folder first. Order emails from a small shop are exactly the sort that get filtered.
3. Printed books
Every printed copy is made to order rather than taken off a shelf, by a print partner who produces it at the facility nearest you. Nothing is warehoused, which is why a short print run of a niche book is possible at all.
Allow three to five working days for printing, and then the post on top of that. In practice that usually means about a week in the United Kingdom and up to two to three weeks further afield, and Christmas and other busy periods are slower than that. Those are honest estimates rather than guarantees: the printing and the post are both outside my control, and I would rather tell you the range than a flattering number.
4. Where I send books
Printed books go to the United Kingdom, the United States and the 27 European Union member states. Delivery is included in the price everywhere I send them, so the price on the shop is the price you pay.
I do not send printed books anywhere else yet, including Switzerland, Norway and Canada. That is deliberate rather than an oversight: the postage and the charges a customer would meet at the other end are enough to spoil what should be a small, pleasant purchase. The digital PDF has no such limit and can be bought from anywhere.
Where a parcel does cross a border, any import duty, import VAT or carrier handling fee is charged by that country and is the recipient’s responsibility. I have no way to pay those on your behalf or to predict them.
5. If it has not arrived
Email me with your order reference. If a printed book has not arrived within 21 days of the estimate above, or within 30 days for an order outside the United Kingdom, I will either send a replacement or refund you in full, whichever you would prefer. You do not have to chase the printer or the courier, and you will not be asked to prove anything.
6. If it arrives damaged or wrong
Send me a photograph and I will replace it. There is no need to return the damaged copy, and I will not ask you to pay postage on a mistake that was not yours.
7. Cancelling an order
Your right to change your mind, the 14 day cancellation period and how refunds are paid are all set out in the refund policy.
8. Contact
Anything at all about an order, email caitlin.hollywoodlai@gmail.com. I read every one of them myself.
